Musselburgh Courier: Flood Defence Plan on its Way
Thursday 9th March 2023
We spoke with the Musselburgh Courier about the upcoming Public Exhibition No.2
Project Manager, Conor Price, recently spoke with the Musselburgh Courier about the developing flood defence plans.
They discussed the potential forms of defence as well as additional benefits beyond flood protection, such as active travel paths and renewing public spaces.
We appreciate that the town want to understand what the Scheme will look like.
A 3D animation will be showcased at our Public Exhibition No.2 in June. We hope this will deliver a clear vision of the Scheme working within the existing historic and built environment.
While the defence designs are still in progress, the Project Team are actively seeking public feedback before the next exhibition.
Your feedback will help us design a Scheme that balances natural solutions, catchment management, and physical defences. Doing so in an environmentally sensitive way, aiming to enhance Musselburgh’s landscape.
You can read the article online at the East Lothian Courier’s website: Initial outline plan for Musselburgh Flood Protection Scheme on way.
